Dr. Kaufmann is currently a Full-Time Faculty member at Grand Canyon University, serving as a core faculty and departmental content lead in the masters and doctorate-level counseling programs.

He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida, as well as an Internationally Certified Gambling Counselor (ICGC-II) / Board Approved Clinical Consultant (BACC).  He received his doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Barry University, where his doctoral research explored the integration of personality theory with decision making among MMORPG players.
